Marris and Stephanie were referred to us by another photographer who was unable to shoot on their date, and we were suggested due to our similar style. We love our close-knit connection of Midwest photographers in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area especially, and we were so excited to get to know these two!
This is why an engagement is so important: it’s crucial to getting to know your clients and allowing them to grow comfortable during your shoot before the big day. Your wedding day is filled with so many things happening all at once We explained this to Marris and Stephanie, who were initially unsure about needing engagements, but they immediately jumped on board.
the perfect location for an autumn shoot
Marris and Stephanie chose to shoot their engagements at Chain O’Lakes State Park in Indiana which is about halfway between Fort Wayne and Goshen, a perfect middle ground between where we all live! We love this beautiful setting, which was incredible with all the little inter-connecting lakes, especially at that time of year as the leaves started to turn. We got to explore a lot of different settings for their shoot, including the dock, some rolling hills, and even a path through the woods. Chain O’Lakes State Park perfectly showcases the beautiful Northern Indiana landscape!

Shooting Marris and Stephanie was a true honor as I got to witness their love and appreciation for each other.
